From the north:
Drive by the City of Munich and follow the A8 in direction of "Salzburg". Leave the highway at the exit "Traunstein/Siegsdorf" or "Bad Reichenhall" and follow the signs towards "Berchtesgaden" and later "Königssee". Park your car at the public parking lot "Königssee" and walk approximately 10min to the Jennerbahn cable car.
From south/east:
Follow the highways towards "Salzburg" and leave them at the exit "Salzburg Süd/Grödig" or "Bad Reichenhall". Now follow the signs towards "Berchtesgaden" and later "Königssee". Park your car at the public parking lot "Königssee" and walk approximately 10min to the Jennerbahn cable car.
Berchtesgaden is well connected to the railway system by the Berchtesgadener Land Bahn (BLB) which leaves every hour. From there you take the bus to the Jennerbahn cable car station.
The next international Airports are Munich and Salzburg. Both of them are within the network of all major carriers. Following your flight you can go to Berchtesgaden via public transport in appr. 3 hours from Munich or 60min from Salzburg. By rental car the distance is 180km from Munich or 30km from Salzburg.
